Cruising the Caribbean

This January Max and I went on a cruise with his Grandma in the Caribbean. We left from New Orleans and visited Costa Maya Mexico, Belize, Roatan Honduras, Grand Cayman Island, and Jamaica! It was a wonderful vacation, and very special to spend time with my mom. Max got to go snorkeling and horseback riding. We also swam with dolphins, which was the highlight of the trip.
The entire experience was just wonderful. The food and the crew on the ship were first class. The entertainment in the evenings was fabulous. We saw a circus performance, and Broadway productions Burn the Floor and Million Dollar Quartet. Both were incredible to watch. Definitely a vacation of a lifetime.

Alert Bay

We spent the end of our trip visiting Alert Bay off the North Coast of Vancouver Island. Max was invited to join in a First Nations dance by the T’sasala Cultural Group of Alert Bay. This was one of the highlights of our trip! He drummed beautifully! I was incredibly impressed by the kindness extended towards Max. I was also very impressed by their advocacy to protect the whales and environment of Vancouver Island. We have much to learn from the T’sasala!
