Vancouver Island BC

We spent summer 2019 exploring Vancouver Island. The Great Canadian Road Trip was an amazing adventure and the trip of a lifetime! The journey began on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. We crossed by Ferry to Victoria, BC. It felt so good to be home in Canada again!

We explored Southern Vancouver Island first. Then Saturna Island was absolutely magical! We biked and Sea Kayaked and made new friends.

Next we visited the West Coast of the Island and Pacific Rim National Park. In Ucluelet we hiked beaches, and watched Bears from a boat! We went Sea Kayaking in the Broken Group Islands. Max was so engaged with the adventure. The beauty was breathtaking!

We then forged north to Telegraph Cove. This was the highlight of our trip. We rode Ferries and spent time with Canadians. We saw Orcas and Humpbacks breaching. We visited Alert Bay where Max played drums with locals and camped on the beach on Sointula Island.

My heart is so incredibly full with the adventure we found on this trip. I have so much gratitude to have been able to do this with Max. We love you Canada!
